Undergraduate Program

Undergraduate admission requires either a high school diploma or its GED equivalent.   Without documentation of graduation from high school or a GED certificate, LAIU will be obligated to require the applicant to take an Ability to Benefit Test.  LAIU will require a passing score on the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (WBST).  The required passing score will be the recommended passing score of the test publisher as approved by the United States Department of Education.

Graduate Program

Master program admission require transcripts showing you have earned a Bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting body or by a state licensing agency. If you have earned a Master's degree or have successfully completed graduate level courses in a recognized institution, submit the official advanced degree transcript in lieu of an undergraduate degree transcript or the transcripts for the or its equivalent from an approved or accredited institution of higher education in the United States or in a foreign country approved by the LAIU Chief Academic Officer. All instruction will be conducted in the English language. Some students may have to satisfy English proficiency.

Doctoral Program

Doctoral program admission requires that the student has completed a master's degree program or its equivalent from an approved or accredited institution of higher education in the United States or in a foreign country approved by the LAIU Chief Academic Officer. All instruction will be conducted in the English language. Some students may have to satisfy English proficiency.

Admission to the Doctoral Program requires that all candidates submit the following:
1) All Transcripts from Graduate and undergraduate degrees earned prior to application to the program.
2) An Explanation of any incomplete grades or grades of C or lower at the graduate level.
3) Transcripts of grades earned that were not applied to a graduate or undergraduate degree that might be considered as electives.
4) A description of professional experiences that the student believes gives him/her special skills or knowledge that might apply toward his/her research of project goals.
5) A 3 to 5 page description in APA format with appropriate references describing the student's research goals such as problems, topics, theories, concepts, approaches or interests.
6) A list of competencies for which additional preparation is needed prior to beginning work on the doctoral degree program. These might include skills such as use of Excel, Word, statistical tools such as MegaStat, knowledge of APA, or facility with the English language.
7) Any published works or evidence of analytical or integrative thinking (e.g. a business plan, marketing plan, project plan, or research proposal).
